Every participant receives an Official OC Crown Volleyball Tournament T-shirt. Team Representative will be given three vouchers for pickup.

Format

Pool Play: Match Play in Open Division

Seeding for bracket play will be based on win/loss then +/- Points.

Playoffs - Single Elimination. Match play in losers bracket (21, 21, 15).

Playing and referee schedule will be updated throughout the tournament. Live scoring will be utilized on Volleyball Life. Losing team becomes the working team on the same court.

All other divisions will be pool play into double elimination bracket.

Prizes

OPEN Division Payout in Men's and Women's Triples *We reserve the right to CANCEL the division if the bracket doesn't fill (7 or less in Women's Open and 11 or less in Men's Open).

Women's Open must have at least 10 teams and Men's Open must have at least 16 teams for the full 12K ($6,000 in each gender) purse payout. See below.

If there is at least 6-9 teams in the Women's Open Division the purse will be $4000 (1st: $2000, 2nd: $1200, 3rd: $800)

If there is at least 10-15 teams in the Men's Open Division the purse will be $5000 (1st: $2500, 2nd: $1700, 3rd: $800)

Based on the amount of teams will determine if we do pool play and bracket or straight double-elimination. Note we do play out for 3rd Place.

A/B Divisions (Non-Cash Prizes) but still Pretty Darn Awesome. Prizes by SLUNKS, BLENDERS EYEWEAR, BEACHBUM SPORTZ, BAD BOYS OPEN VB and others.

Please help keep the fields of Huntington Beach High School beautiful by cleaning up after yourselves and throwing away your trash in designated receptacles. Parking may fill up quickly but there is a large parking lot on the west side off of Main Street. We urge teams to car pool, ride share, E-Bike, hitch hike, get a ride from Mom, parachute, skateboard, scooter or back of a police car. Whatever, just get there in one piece.

Tournament will host sponsor/vendor booths and Live DJ's all day. Food options will be available on site by Cruisers Huntington Beach and will host our Players Championship party .

Court Size: Short Court - 52'6 x 26'3

Roster: Roster maximum of 4 players

Players that start a game, must finish that game unless they are injured.

If a player leaves due to injury, he/she is finished for that match.

Tips: No open hand tips.

Double Contact: Players may double contact any hard driven attack.

Let Serves: Let Serves are legal.

Blocking: Block is considered a touch as one of the three contacts per team.

Setting Over: When the ball is set into the opponents court, the setters shoulders must be "Squared Up" or Perpendicular to the line of flight of the ball.

Time Outs: Each team is allowed two 30 second timeouts per game. Time out may be called prior to server receiving ball on either side of court between plays.

Side Changes: Teams should switch sides of the court after every 7 points in games to 21 or more, and every 5 points for games to 15.

Footwear: Players are not allowed to wear cleats or spikes of any kind. Players may play barefoot, wear turf soccer shoes or trail runners are acceptable.

Forfeit Rule: A 10 minute forfeit rule is in effect. 

Warm Up: 5 Minute Warm Up. If team is not at court and ready to play after 5 minute warm up period, they will be penalized 1 point per minute.

Registration: Early Registration is from April 4th, 2025 - June 30th, 2025. 

Registration on July 1st, 2025 goes up to $10 per player or $30 per team.
